Gerry James is a social artist, researcher, strategist, storyteller, and outdoor leader whose work connects people to place, expand access to nature, and help communities imagine more just futures..

He previously served as Deputy Campaign Director for the Sierra Club's Outdoors for All campaign, where he helped lead national initiatives expanding access to nature and responding to historical erasure across our shared national parks and public lands.

Gerry is the founder of Explore Kentucky, a statewide initiative connecting people to rivers, trails, public lands, and outdoor culture through storytelling, partnerships, and community programming.
